I’ve been wanting to create some art to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Alien. It’s a movie that I never stop enjoying, and see something new in every time I see it. I recently went up to Chicago to watch a 35mm print of the Director’s Cut and it was really glorious. Tom Skerrit was even there to do a Q&A. I tried to find a way to make the illustration sing, so I went with a slightly retro feel for the inks, which I think works well in this case.
