Aggggggh! So, I wanted some gum. At the gas station, I grabbed these, which I thought were just gum in a weird packaging. But, no. They are not. I popped two in my mouth (because they were tiny… and I thought they were gum.) But, they are “chews,” which means they started off a bit like gum… before they started disintegrating into crumbly blobs in my mouth. To which I’m thinking “Is this gum?!! Am I supposed to swallow this? What is happening?!!” and finally I realize this MUST be some sort of chewable mint versus gum. But then the worst of it hit. PAIN. Honest-to-goodness, searing pain in my jaw. It didn’t last long, thankfully, but it was like I’d suddenly jabbed cold needles into my mouth. I don’t really suffer from tooth pain from cold ice cream or liquids or anything. But, apparently the pain is a common side effect, looking at the Amazon reviews. Something to do with the alcohol sugars being used. So…. yeah… not recommended. Unless you’re into this sort of thing. Then, hey, go for it.
