Yep. This really is the best advice any writer can give. I’m still working on it (kind of got off my 2,000 words/day schedule, but still getting a decent amount done.) But in the end, it’s the bare-bones truth.
I also think Stephen King’s advice on not making excuses was good, too. If you want to be a writer, you write and you read. Period. You make the time. You watch less TV. You consume less… other stuff. Read. Read. Read. Write. Write. Write. Still working on it, but I’m getting better at it.
